BBG Management and FORMVERSE host Executive Breakfast for Canadian Federal Government in Ottawa
By Mitchell Harper, VP, Sales & Marketing, FORMVERSE June 06, 2016
A lot of nodding was happening in the audience while Mitch Harper, VP, Sales & Marketing and Guy de Montigny, Director, Business Development, Canada, both of FORMVERSE described how automating forms and workflow in 2016 is still a big problem within the Canadian Federal Government and elsewhere.
“Our largest customers are all telling us the same thing”, said Harper. “A staff member gets into the office at 8:00 AM, and will need to log into 12 different enterprise applications, just to get their tasks done. Many of those enterprise applications have workflow functionality built in, and that’s turning out to be a big problem. With FORMVERSE, forms are accessed, completed, and routed for action right within staff’s existing Microsoft Outlook email. So, the familiarity is built right in. Since all form data and metadata is automatically stored in a Microsoft SQL Server database, if that data from the forms needs to flow into another application, such as SAP, PeopleSoft, Microsoft Dynamics, SharePoint, or others, it happens seamlessly in the background. It’s solves a lot of big problems”.
John Gabriel President and CEO of BBG Management said, “BBG Management Corporation (BBG) is very excited to be partnering with FORMVERSE, to deliver workflow automation solutions to the Government of Canada (GOC). As a Professional Services partner for FORMVERSE, BBG will be integrating the FORMVERSE solution providing GOC employees with workflow automation across multiple platforms and systems, delivering astonishing efficiencies and Return on Investment, said John Gabriel, President & CEO of BBG.”
Guy de Montigny, who runs all new business development for FORMVERSE and is based at the FORMVERSE headquarters in Ottawa described how FORMVERSE is working with its existing customers within the Canadian Federal Government as well as Municipal and Provincial agencies. He also described the process involved in getting FORMVERSE installed within Shared Services Canada conforming to the work that has been done related to SSC’s Email Transformation Initiative. “It was a long process, but the folks at SSC have been fantastic”, said de Montigny”.
Representatives from the Canadian Federal Government departments including the Public Service Commission (PSC); Shared Services Canada (SSC); Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) ; Correctional Service Canada (CSC); Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC); Canada Revenue Agency (CRA); Natural Resources Canada (NRCan); Canada Fisheries and Ocean (DFO); Canadian Coast Guard (CCG); and representatives from the Built in Canada Innovation Program (BCIP), of which FORMVERSE is a awarded company. These users all share similar issues within their respective departments which is there are still many, sometimes thousands of paper-based forms, or forms that are completed electronically, but sent to approvers via unstructured email, with no method for data capture or reporting.
BBG Management and FORMVERSE plan to host additional Executive Breakfast sessions in the near future.
